Butterfly Count

In cooperation with the North American Butterfly Association, the Chaplin Nature Center will be conducting its annual butterfly count in the Arkansas City area. This one-day survey will count all the butterflies observed in a 15-mile diameter survey area. Anyone interested in butterflies can volunteer to participate in this cound. More experienced counters will be teamed up with participants new to butterfly identification. Butterfly identification training will be available in June for those interested.
