Explore Wabaunsee County and Flint Hills history through the interpretative designs at the Wabaunsee County Historical Museum. An extensive collection offers a historical perspective on stone masonry, ranching, the underground railroad, early agriculture and much more! Built in the early 1900s by the Feiden Brothers out of native stone the museum itself is a gorgeous piece of history. In addition to historical displays the ladies quilting guild meets two days a week to hand quilt, pieces of art- lovely quilts. The genealogy group also meets regularly and makes files available for research. The Historical Society generally offers a great tour in the fall and one in the spring, in addition to their annual meeting. Some of the tour subjects have been: stone structures, underground railroad, School houses, historic barns and more!
